Performance Details - Much Ado About Nothing
Gill/Chitty, National Theatre, August 1981
"Alison Chitty supplies a set of mobile reversable walls, bricked on one side, panelled on the other, which bisect the stage depth and force the action to a narrow forward position. Upstage are four towering 'periaktoi' those triangular columns invented by the Greeks, which revolve to afford a delicate pastoral or urban perspective, or form up to represent the far wall of the church." Irving Wardle, Times 17.8.81
Opening Date: 14 August 1981
Theatre: Olivier.
