Ninth video interview clip with Theatre Designer Chris Dyer |
| Description |
: |
I did a modern dress production of Hamlet and while I was researching it I found a 1910 photograph of a Japanese production that was in contemporary European dress of that period and I just thought you can't top this, there is nothing new, in a way. And I remember taking a coat for Hamlet, thinking 'oh this is perfect for Hamlet, this will be the best Hamlet ever' and then the name tabs revealed that it had been worn by two previous Hamlets. |
