Description	:	Question: Do you ever find yourself in a position where you disagree with the the director's interpretation? Answer: Yes. Question: How do you resolve that? Answer: Well you argue a lot and you try and get into each other's head and if it's done without acrimony and it's done in a completely open and giving way. Because if you both absolutely intent on getting the production right then it's not it's not an unpleasant, it's difficult, not an unpleasant situation. You have to challenge each other in order to be sure that you're going the right way. And so differences are very useful. I mean, if I've had differences with an unpleasant director who violates that openness, and thank God it's only happened to me I think twice in my long career, it doesn't happen often. Because there's an understanding from everybody, and this is the marvellous thing about what we call the collaborative process, is that there's no way you can hold back anything. You have to give completely and people do it very easily because there is an objective outside of their own self. It's not for yourself, it's for the work. And so you find you can open up and give. And people who can't do that can't get on with each other.
