Sixteenth video interview clip with Theatre Designer Shelagh Keegan |
| Description |

Question: Do you think that attitudes towards Shakespeare have changed over the last forty years? Answer: Hopefully. My daughters don't go to a brilliant public school, they go to an ordinary comprehensive and they are learning Shakespeare and Amy has a much more positive attitude to it than I ever had and it might possibly be because the school is a lot better than the one I went to but, I think yeah, there is more television coverage, not enough though because I think Shakespeare is really rich and I think the language is really rich and I think we live in a fairly impoverished language society today, you know we all swear too much and put up with a fairly kind of meagre language and Shakespeare gives you that back which I think is really worth fighting for. |
