Description	:	Question: Do you think that attitudes and approaches to Shakespeare have changed over the last forty years? Do you think that its been designed differently, is there a different sort of, I don't know, assumptions, have the assumptions changed about what people are going to want to see on stage, a night out? Answer: Probably no, if I think about it. I think it's a cyclical thing, I think it just goes round and round and that each generation in theatre wants to discover its own truths in its own way and that what we learn from each generation, what one generation learns from another generation is actually quite little because I think it kind of resists learning in that way. And I think to a large extent theatre is about experiencing anyway and that learning is not a particularly healthy thing in theatre, perhaps. Experience, learning through experience perhaps is better.
